The Mark 10 Mission
Each of our Celebrations of the Word are created to lead children to Jesus. We share the Gospel, wonder about its meaning, enter into prayer and conclude with song. We also have a Mission each week to encourage children to live out their faith in the world.
We want to keep all of our resources free to children. If your school enjoys The Mark 10 Mission, would you consider making a donation to keep our work going?
Advent Celebrations of the Word
Ep14: Joy is Coming
We are halfway through our Advent journey and looking forward to the joy which is to come. We hear in the Gospel, St John the Baptist saying "He who is mightier than I is coming..." Gabe opens up this Gospel for us, encouraging us to look at the humility of John as he lives out his destiny. We then gather around the wreath in prayer and sing "Prepare Him Room" with Angel and Theo.
Ep13: Prepare the Way in Advent
As we move into the Second Week of Advent, we hear the Gospel account of St John the Baptist crying in the wilderness. He is a prophet. This means he has listened to God and has a message for his people. Sr Therese explains how we too can listen to the voice of God for others. We then do this as we pray and conclude in song as Sr Chiara sings O Come O Come Emmanuel.
Ep12: The Hope of Advent
We are beginning the Season of Advent. In the Gospel for the First Sunday, we hear Jesus explain what will happen we he returns. He tells his followers to "Stay awake and be ready." Greg helps us reflect on how the theme of Advent is to prepare for when we stand before Jesus, the Son of Man. We pray together and join Angel as we sing to Jesus with the hymn "How Great is Our God."
