The Mark 10 Mission
Each of our Celebrations of the Word lead children to Jesus. We share the Gospel, wonder about its meaning, enter into prayer and sing. We have a Mission each week to encourage children to live out their faith in the world.
We want to keep all of our resources free to children. If your school enjoys The Mark 10 Mission, would you consider making a donation to keep our work going?
Celebrations of the Word
Ep18: The Wedding at Cana
Get ready for awe and wonder as we share the Gospel account of the Wedding at Cana. We listen together and hear how Jesus turned water into wine. Greg uses some (mini) stone water jars and water to help us contemplate the miracle and enter into the Gospel more deeply. We then pray together with Jesus and Our Lady and join Fr Columba as he sings Way Maker.
Ep17: The Baptism of the Lord
We are celebrating The Baptism of the Lord. In the Gospel, we hear about the moments just after Jesus's baptism, how the heavens were opened and the Holy Spirit came down. At this point, God the Father spoke some powerful words over Jesus. Gabriel helps us to understand that the Father says these same words over us. This leads into a time of prayer and then we join the Sisters as they sing 'Shine Jesus, Shine.'
Ep16: The Epiphany
The Epiphany celebrates the moment when the Wise Men from the east arrived in Bethlehem to visit the child Jesus. We hear in the Gospel how they set out on a long journey in search of the newborn king of the Jews. Sr Thérèse helps us to enter into this marvellous Gospel passage and contemplate its meaning and significance in our lives. We follow the example of the Wise Men and honour Jesus as we pray. We then join Gabriel as he sings our favourite Epiphany hymn ‘We Three Kings of Orient Are.’
