Celebrations of the Word ~ Gather and Word:

Tuesday October 22nd

‘Create a sacred space for children to listen to the voice of God.‘

Every 'Celebration of the Word' is a beautiful chance to help children meet with Jesus. However, the way we choose to gather and how we present the Word of God is critically important if we want facilitate encounters with God. In this session, we will cover how to create sacred and reverent atmospheres in school and how to read scripture in a way which will give children the best opportunity to hear God's voice.

Celebrations of the Word ~ Response and Send

Tuesday November 12th

‘Help children respond to God’s Word and be sent out changed.’

Celebrations of the Word can become comprehension exercises if we don't understand how to best help children respond to God's Word. In this session, we will help you create space for children to dialogue with God and contemplate his loving presence. We will share our own learnings about 'wonder questions' and how this method can completely transform children's experiences in prayer. We will also present fresh ideas on how to craft meaningful missions for children as they are 'sent out' to live differently.

Leading in a Catholic school

Tuesday December 10th

‘Schools with Christ at the centre.’

More than ever, we need outstanding Catholic leaders in our schools. In this session, we will be joined by two experienced Catholic school leaders who will share their advice and insights. This will be a great chance for current and aspiring leaders to develop understanding and fresh ideas on how to effectively lead in Catholic schools. We also want this session to help leaders nurture their own faith and encourage them as they co-lead our schools with Jesus by their side.

With guest contributors:

Mr Chris Martin Principal of St Thomas Aquinas CS, Birmingham

Mrs Rachel McEvoy CEO of St Cuthbert’s RC Academy Trust

Celebrating Mass in school

Tuesday January 21st

‘Making school Mass a moment of encounter with God.’

The celebration of Holy Mass is the most important act of worship in the life of a Catholic school. It is where heaven touches earth. We want to help teachers prepare children to encounter Jesus at Mass and also develop their own understanding of what happens during the celebration. We will be joined by an Episcopal Vicar for Education (the priest who leads education across a diocese) who will share some brilliant tips and advice on how to plan and prepare for Mass in school. We want to make this session free to any priests who would like to join.
