The Third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete means 'Rejoice' and in this liturgy we celebrate the joy of Advent. We hear in the Gospel how John sends messengers to discover whether Jesus truly is the Christ. He is and Pippa reflects upon how we can sometimes lose sight of how amazing Jesus coming to earth was. We can rejoice in the truth that our God loves us so much that he sent his only son to be with us. This is the true joy of Advent. We carry this theme into our prayer time and conclude with the song "All For Love."
